Casasnovas et al developed a prognostic score for a patient with classic Hodgkin's disease based on plasma levels of various cytokines and soluble receptors. It provides independent prognostic information for the patient. The authors are from the Groupe d'Etude des Lymphomes de l'Adulte in France.
Parameters:
(1) IL1-RA (interleukin-1 receptor antagonist, IL-1F3)
(2) interleukin 6 (IL-6)
(3) soluble CD30

Interpretation:
• minimum score: 0
• maximum score: 3
• The higher the score the worse prognosis.
