Ahmed et al developed a score to describe the degree of phenotypic masculinization in a male. This can help describe males with ambiguous genitalia. The authors are from the University of Cambridge in England.

Interpretation:

• minimum score: 0

• maximum score: 12

• The higher the score the greater the degree of phenotypic masculinization in the external genitalia.
