Description

The oral eradication phase of treating meliodosis follows the initial intensive therapy phase. This is intended to prevent relapse caused by organisms in sequestered locations. The standard therapy during this phase is trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (TMP-SMX).


 

Duration: 3 to 6 months
