Interpretation

< 2.5 grams

2.5 to 4.9 grams

good source

>= 5.0 grams

excellent source

 

The amount of fiber in a serving is included within the total carbohydrate value. For a diabetic, the carbohydrate content of a serving of food with >= 5.0 grams of fiber can be adjusted for the fiber.

= (total carbohydrate content) - (grams of fiber if >= 5 grams per serving)
