Description

The Research Sub-Committee of the British Orthopaedic Association developed a standard evaluation chart for assessing patients before and after reconstructive surgery to the knee. This includes an evaluation of the other major joints to determine their impact on the patient's functional ability.

Additional major joints evaluated:

(1) state of the other knee

(2) state of the left hip

(3) state of the right hip

(4) state of the left foot and ankle

(5) state of the right foot and ankle

The evaluation of the affected knee is described in the previous section.
