Description

Capecitabine (tradename Xeloda, Roche) is fluoropyrimidine carbonate that is converted to 5-FU in vivo. It is used in the chemotherapy of colon and breast cancers. It can be dosed based on the patient's body surface area.


The standard dose is 1,250 mg per square meter body surface area. This is divided into 2 doses, one taken in the morning and the second in the evening.
