Description

Both Peetrons and Davis used imaging studies to grade the severity of a hamstring injury.

Imaging modality used by Peetrons: ultrasound (US)

Imaging modalilty used by Davis: MRI

Patient selection: clinical diagnosis of posterior thigh muscle injury

Parameters:

(1) percent of muscle measurement involved (volume or cross-sectional area)

(2) physical findngs on clinical examination
