Description

The scoring system of Mufti et al for myelodysplasia uses hemoglobin, platelet count, neutrophil count and per cent bone marrow blasts to separate patients into prognostic groups and to predict likely survival time. The authors are from Royal Victoria Hospital in Bournemouth.

Parameters:

(1) hemoglobin in g/dL

(2) platelet count per µL

(3) percent blasts in the bone marrow

(4) absolute neutrophil count per µL
