A number of factors may keep a centrifuge from starting/running.
No electricity:
(1) no electricity at the wall socket (fuse blown, etc)
(2) cord not plugged in
(3) cord defective
(4) problem at the connection of cord to the centrifuge
(5) internal fuse blown
(6) start switch defective
Other:
(1) lid not closed and latched
(2) safety switch functioning properly (unsafe condition)
(3) defective safety switch
(4) defect in the motor (motor brushes, other)
