The GRAVo score can help to identify a patient who may require a gastrostomy tube following an intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). The authors are from the Johns Hopkins University.
GRAVo is an acronym for GCS, race, age and volume.
Parameters:
(1) Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS)
(2) race
(3) age in years
(4) ICH volume in mL

= SUM(points for all of the parameters)
Interpretation:
• minimum score: 0
• maximum score: 6
• A score > 4 is associated with an increased probability of PEG tube placement.
Performance:
• The area under the ROC curve is 0.75 in the original study and 0.70 in external validation.
