Description

Skoskes et al developed the UPOINT score to describe the clinical phenotype shown by a man with chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome. The problems that are present can serve as a starting point for patient management. The authors are the Cleveland Clinic and Queens University in Kingston, Ontario.

(1) a summation from 0 to 6 to represent the total number of domains affected

The symptom severity tends to increase along with the number of domains.
