Description

Bradley et al used a Treatment Satisfaction Scale to measure patient satisfaction with diabetic care. This can be modified to become a more general instrument.


 

The instrument consists of 6 questions dealing with the patient's satisfaction with treatment.

= SUM(points for all 6 questions)

 

Interpretation:

• minimum scale: 6

• maximum scale: 42

• The higher the scale the worse the satisfaction.

 

percent of maximal satisfaction =

= (42 – (total score))/36 * 100%
