V-POSSUM Score for Vascular Surgery

Purpose: To predict mortality for a person undergoing major vascular surgery using the V-POSSUM score.

Description

The Vascular POSSUM (V-POSSUM) score is modification of the POSSUM score for predicting mortality in patients undergoing vascular surgery.


 

Y for mortality based on physiologic and operative scores =

= (0.1552 * (physiologic score)) + (0.1238 * (operative score)) - 8.0616

 

Z for mortality based on physiology score =

= (0.1539 * (physiologic score)) - 6.0386
