Description

Sciascia et al developed the Global Anti-Phospholipid Syndrome Score (GAPSS). The authors are from the King’s College London, Universita di Torino, and St. Thomas’ Hospital London.

(4) anti-beta2 glycoprotein I (GPI) antibodies IgG/IgM

(5) antibodies to solid-phase prothrombin and to phosphatidylserine-prothrombin complex (anti-PS/PT) IgG/IgM

(6) lupus anticoagulant

Interpretation:

• minimum score: 0

• maximum score: 20

• A higher score was associated with thrombosis with or without pregnancy loss. Higher scores were also associated with recurrences.

• A lower score was associated with pregnancy loss alone.

 

Performance:

• A cutoff of >=10 was associated with an AUC of 0.74.
