Description

Field testing involves endurance walking-running over a level terrain. This can be used to evaluate the aerobic capacity of a large numbers of people. The results have been shown to correlate well with more formal studies on treadmills or bicycle ergometers.

(2) often a 1 mile track with a hard surface
