Description

Slieker-ten Hove et al developed a score for evaluating a woman with pelvic organ prolapse (POP). The authors are from Erasmus and Radboud Universities in The Netherlands.


 

Patient selection: women 45 to 85 years of age

 

Parameters:

(1) age of the patient

(2) history of pelvic organ prolapse in the patient's mother

(3) seeing or feeling a vaginal bulge

(4) number of children

(5) smoking

(6) incontinence surgery

(7) current heavy work

(8) pelvic organ prolapse symptoms during a pregnancy
