Description

Lebwohl et al used a simple score to grade the local adverse effects of a topical medication. The authors are from Mount Sinai School of Medicie, Oregon Health and Science University, Dermatology Associates of Tyler, LEO Pharma, and the University of Miami (Florida).

(3) crusting

(4) swelling

(5) vesicles or pustules

(6) erosion or ulceration

Interpretation:

• minimum score: 0

• maximum score: 24

• The higher the score the more severe the local skin reaction.
