Description

Golf carts are convenient electric vehicles that can be used in many places other than a golf course. Injuries can occur if a golf cart is involved in an accident.


 

Risk factors for injury related to a golf cart (all starting with "i"):

(1) idiot who is reckless or showing off

(2) illness

(3) impact/collision with a tree, vehicle, building, etc

(4) impaired driver or pedestrian with problems in vision, hearing or response time

(5) inclement weather, including lightning

(6) inclined surface

(7) inept driver

(8) improperly maintained cart subject to mechanical failure

(9) inexperienced driver, especially someone < 18 years of age

(10) intoxicated with drugs or alcohol

 

Injuries can range from minor cuts or scratches to death.
