Description

Torrington and Henderson developed the Perioperative Respiratory Therapy (PORT) protocol for patients undergoing surgery. The preoperative evaluation includes a risk factor analysis. The authors are from St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho.

• maximum score: 12

• The higher the score the greater the surgical risk.
