When reporting a urine drug test it is necessary to report all non-negative results.
If the specimen showed a fatal flaw or uncorrected flaw (nonfatal flaw not corrected within 5 working days), then the test is reported as rejected for testing and no results are given.
Non-negative test results if tested:
(1) positive for drug(s) and/or metabolite(s)
(2) dilute or substituted (cannot be both)
(3) invalid
(4) adulterated
The reason for classifying the specimen as substituted, invalid or adulterated must be included in a comment.
If the specimen is dilute with a urine creatinine from 2.0-5.0 mg/dL then a comment is included that the donor should have an immediate observed collection.
