Description

Sarcoidosis is a multiorgan disorder of uncertain etiology featuring noncaseating granulomas. While most patients with active disease will have pulmonary involvement, only about 60% will have respiratory signs or symptoms. The appearance on chest radiograph can be used to stage the patient and has some prognostic significance.
