Description

MacDonald used a questionnaire for periodic feedback from hospice employees about their impression of the hospice's admission practices. This can be helpful for identifying processes that may seem unfair, irrational, inconsistent or arbitrary. The author is from the Hospice of Central New York.

The instrument consists of 12 statements about the hospice admission practices.

total score =

= SUM(points for all 12 questions)

Interpretation:

• minimum score: 12

• maximum score: 60

• The higher the total score, the better the impression that admission triage is appropriate from the employee perspective.

• To prevent masking (a strongly agree matched to a strongly disagree, giving a neutral reading), the number of agreements and disagreements should also be tallied.
