A woman's breast has a tendency to lose lift over time, resulting in ptosis.
Features of ptosis of the breast - both of the following:
(1) The undersurface of the breast extends below the submammary fold when the woman is upright.
(2) The undersurface of the breast is in contact with skin of the thorax (hopefully not the abdomen).
Risk factors for ptosis:
(1) increasing age
(2) after multiple pregnancies
(3) with breastfeeding
(4) with large breasts
