Description

Pseudochondritis may be caused by a number of conditions and needs to be distinguished from true chondritis.

Conditions that can cause pseudochondritis:

(1) trauma

(2) gout

(3) insect bites

(4) radiotherapy

(5) allergic reaction

(6) burn

(7) cold injury (chilblain)

(8) infection, including lepromatous leprosy
