Description

Chin and Goldman developed a simple score for identifying the risk that a patient admitted to the hospital with congestive heart failure will die or require readmission within 60 days of discharge. This can help identify a patient who may benefit from more aggressive management or closer monitoring. The authors are from Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard University.

Parameters:

(1) marital status

(2) Charlson comorbidity score

(3) systolic blood pressure in mm Hg on current admission

(4) ST wave changes on admission ECG for current admission
