Description

Wimazal et al evaluated the prognostic significance of eosinophilia and/or basophilia for a patient with myelodysplasia. The authors are from the Medical University of Vienna, Heinrich-Heine Univeristy and Ludwig-Boltzmann Institute for Leukemia Research and Hematology in Vienna.


 

Patient selection: myelodyplastic syndrome

 

Eosinophilia is an absolute eosinophil count > 350 per µL.

Basophilia is an absolute basophile count > 250 per µL.
