Patient selection: Bing-Neel syndrome (BNS)
Factors associated with a worse prognosis:
(1) age > 65 years
(2) platelet count < 100,000 per µL
(3) therapy for Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia prior to diagnosis of BNS
Factors associated with a better prognosis:
(1) therapy with rituximab
