In many situations it is necessary to prioritize the warnings that are given because of limitations. It is important to determine what a person needs to hear and when.
Limitations that make prioritization necessary:
(1) human overload
(2) space available to print warnings
(3) time to report warnings
These become an issue when many adverse outcomes are possible.
Parameters:
(1) frequency of event
(2) severity of injury
(3) importance of event
(4) risk familiarity to the listener
