Description

Mokhlesi et al developed a prediction rule for predicting the probability of extubation failure in a patient who has had a successful spontaneous breathing test. The authors are from Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Cook County Hospital and Northwestern University.


Patient selection: intubated patient who has successfully completed a spontaneous breathing trial
