A patient with an underlying malignancy may develop livedo reticularis due to a number of different mechanisms.
Tumors that have been associated with livedo reticularis secondary to intra-vascular tumor
(1) inflammatory breast carcinoma
(2) angiotrophic malignant lymphoma
Other tumors associated with livedo reticularis:
(1) renal cell carcinoma
(2) acute lymphocytic leukemia
(3) mycosis fungoides
Livedo reticularis may develop in a patient with cancer due to:
(1) thrombo-emboli
(2) infection
(3) drug-induced
(4) cold agglutinins
(5) amyloidosis
