Purpose: To correct the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) for room temperature based on the nomogram of Manley.

Description

The erythrocyte sedimentation rate is affected by room temperature. Manley developed a nomogram to correct for variation in room temperature. The author is from St. Stephen's Hospital in London.


Room temperature range: 15 to 35 degrees Celsius (60 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit)

(2) ESR reading in mm in first hour
