Negative effects on the employee may include:

(4) low job satisfaction and poor morale

(5) substance misuse

(6) sleep disturbances

(7) physical injury

(8) economic injury (from poor job advancement or performance reviews)

(9) post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

(11) quitting the job if able to do so

(12) poor attendance (high absenteeism)
