A modification of the Manabe scale for change after a spinal cord injury was used by the Scoliosis Research Society in a multicenter study. This can help grade the response to therapeutic interventions.

where:
• The score looks as if it would be most relevant for moderate to severe injuries. I am not sure if this would be useful in a person with a minor injury, where there is little upside room for improvement.
