Pulignano et al evaluated prognosis for older adults with heart failure. They showed that gait speed was a valuable predictor of outcomes. The authors are from multiple hospitals in Italy and members of the IMAGE-HF Study.
Patient selection: older adult (>= 70 years) with heart failure, community-dwelling
Outcome: 1-year all cause mortality
Parameters:
(1) 3C-HF score of Senni et al
(2) gait speed group
