Once the desired maximum and minimum serum concentrations at steady state are known, then the dosing interval can be determined.
First, choose the desired concentration minimum at steady state = C(min-ss)
Second, choose the desired concentration maximum at steady state = C(max-ss)
Third, calculate
dosing interval = ((time for infusion) - (A))
where:
• A = ((LN[C(min-ss) / C(max-ss)]) / (elimination rate constant))
