Han et al proposed a simple grading scale for mask ventilation.
Parameters:
(1) adequacy of mask ventilation
(2) need for an oral airway or adjuvant
Criteria for difficult mask ventilation:
(1) inadequate ventilation
(2) unstable
(3) need for 2 providers
