Men with uremia may develop sexual dysfunction, including erectile dysfunction.
Clinical manifestations include:
(1) impotence
(2) no or little satisfaction with sex
(3) reduced interest in sex
(4) infertility
Laboratory manifestations include:
(1) elevated serum FSH and LH
(2) low serum testosterone levels
(3) low sperm count, abnormal forms and/or reduced mobility

Dialysis may do little to improve the sexual dysfunction, but renal transplantation may be associated with significant improvements.
