Definition: One full-time equivalent (FTE) is an employee working 40 hours per week, or 2080 hours per calendar year (assuming paid vacation)

 

number of billable tests performed per day =

= (number of billable tests done in month) / (number of work days in month)

 

number of FTEs working per day =

= ((numbers of hours worked in month) * (number of shifts per day)) / ((number of work days in month) * (number of hours lab open per day))

 

billable tests performed per FTE per day =

= (number of billable tests performed per day) / (number of FTEs working per day)
