Description

Barbui et al reported the International Prognostic Score for thrombosis in Essential Thrombocythemia (IPSET-thrombosis). The authors are from multiple hospitals in Europe and the Mayo Clinic.

Patient selection: essential thrombocythemia (ET) using the WHO criteria.

 

Parameters:

(1) age in years

(2) cardiovascular risk factors (smoking, diabetes, hypertension)

(3) history of previous thrombosis

(4) JAK2V617F mutation
