Description

Gobbi et al evaluated the different prognostic scores for patients with advanced Hodgkin's disease. They developed an integrated index for combining the scores of Straus et al (1990), Gobbi et al (1994) and Hasenclever and Diehl (1998) into a single predictive instrument. The authors are from multiple university hospitals in Italy.

Scores for Inclusion

Data for Inclusion

Straus et al (28.08.07)

group from 0 to 5

Gobbi et al (Integrated Database on Hodgkin's Disease; 28.08.05)

probability of surviving 120 months (10 years), as a decimal fraction

Hasenclever and Diehl (International Prognostic Factors Project; 28.08.01)

group from 0 to 7

integrated index =

= (0.950 * (probability of Gobbi to survive 120 months)) + (0.541 * (group from Straus model)) – (0.302 * (group from Hasenclever and Diehl))

Interpretation:

• minimum index: theoretically –2.1

• maximum index: theoretically 3.45
