Description

The Hypospadias Objective Penile Evaluation (HOPE) score evaluates the cosmetic appearance for the penis following surgery to correct hypospadia. This is an objective score that reduces subjectivity. The authors are from multiple universities in The Netherlands, Belgium and the United States.

= SUM(points for all applicable items) / (number of applicable items

 

Interpretation:

• maximum score: 10 (normal appearing)

• minimum score: 1 (severely abnormal)
