Description

Smith et al gave semiquantitative guidelines for scoring the quality of a poster presentation at a scientific meeting. These are based on recommendations given by Griffiths and can make the scoring more objective. The authors are from the University Hospital of Wales and Gloucester Royal Hospital.

Parameters:

An alternative approach would be to ask the percent of ideal for each characteristic, then multiply this by 8, and ROUND to nearest integer.

total score =

= SUM(points for all 17 characteristics)

Interpretation:

• minimum score: 0

• maximum score: 50

• The higher the score the better the "quality".

• Multiplying by 2 gives the percent of an ideal score.
