Description

Traumatic injury to the fallopian tube can be graded using the Fallopian Tube Injury Scale.

<= 50% of circumference

II

 

> 50% of circumference but not complete

III

 

complete transection

IV

vascular

devascularized segment

V

 

If bilateral injuries are present, then advance grade by 1 up to Grade III.

• I assume the advance in grade for bilateral injuries applies for Grade II to III but not III to IV (see Testis Injury Scale).
