(3) carbon monoxide

(4) organic acids

(5) aldehydes: acetaldehyde, formaldehyde

(6) alcohols:

(7) hydrocarbons: methane

(8) sulfur dioxide

(9) ammonia

(10) benzene

(11) nitrogen dioxide

(12) isocyanates

(13) acrolein

(14) phosgene

(15) styrene

 

Manifestations:

(1) irritation to eyes, skin, and mucous membranes

(2) chemical burns to skin and eyes

(3) inhalation injury with dyspnea, tracheobronchitis, hypoxemia, chemical pneumonitis

(4) systemic toxicity
