EULAR developed a disease activity index for primary Sjogren's syndrome called the ESSDAI. This consists of 12 subscores measuring various components of disease activity. The authors are from the European League Against Rheumatism Sjogren's Task Force.
Patient selection: primary Sjogren's syndrome
Stable long-standing features are designated "no activity".
Parameters for peripheral nervous system subscore:
(1) peripheral axonal neuropathy (evaluated with nerve conduction studies, NCS)
(2) cranial neuropathy
(3) neuropathy secondary to vasculitis
(4) ganglionopathy
(5) inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP
