EULAR developed a disease activity index for primary Sjogren's syndrome called the ESSDAI. This consists of 12 subscores measuring various components of disease activity. The authors are from the European League Against Rheumatism Sjogren's Task Force.
Patient selection: primary Sjogren's syndrome
Exclusion: hematological changes due to other causes (nutritional, iron deficiency, drug-induced)
Parameters for constitutional subscore:
(1) autoimmune absolute neutropenia (per µL)
(2) autoimmune absolute lymphopenia (per µL)
(3) autoimmune anemia (hemoglobin in g/dL)
(4) autoimmune thrombocytopenia (per µL)
