Bavdekar et al reported an equation for estimating the weight of an Indian child based on foot length. The estimated weight can be used for drug dosing during an emergency. The authors are from Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital in India.

Performance:
• Drug doses were about 2% higher compared to dose based on actual body weight using this method.
