Description

Some people claim to be hypersensitive to electricity and electromagnetic fields. While the physical and emotional disturbances are real, the question that must be answered is whether they are related to electricity or electromagnetism or not.

A person with electromagnetic or electric hypersensitivity may experience a range of problems including:

(1) headache

(2) fatigue

(3) stress

(4) sleep disturbances

(5) aches and pains

(6) myalgias

We know that animals have senses that can be more sensitive than those of humans, so it is conceivable that some persons may be more sensitive to electromagnetic waves than others. There may also be a vibration, sound or other physical change that could trigger the response in a susceptible individual.

Findings that would make the claims more credible:

(1) reproducible in a double blind study

(2) animals displaying abnormal behavior as well

(3) objective evidence of some physical change in the environment

(4) exclusion of depression and anxiety

(5) exclusion of other explanations for the symptoms (headache and change in barometric pressure, etc)
