A person with grey hair may notice that some or all of the hair has become darker. This may occur due to one or more conditions.
Conditions that may cause a person with grey or white hair to grow darker hair:
(1) drugs (see below)
(2) inflammation (exudative dermatosis, furuncle, etc)
(3) regrowth of hair involved in radiation-induced alopecia
(4) chronic arsenic poisoning
Drugs that rarely may cause a person with grey hair to grow darker hair::
(1) tamoxifen
(2) minoxidil
(3) carbidopa
(4) para-aminobenzoic acid
(5) verapamil
