Criteria for Early Discharge of Pediatric Cancer Patients with Febrile Neutropenia

Has the patient undergone a bone marrow transplantation?

Maximum temperature

Did the patient have a second temperature reading > 38°C during the same 24 hour period?

White blood cell count

Percent neutrophils in the differential count (enter from 0 to 100)

Percent developing myeloid cells in the differential count (enter from 0 to 100)

Have all blood cultures been sterile?

Has the patient been afebrile for more than 24 hours?

Does the patient appear clinically well?

Is there evidence of bone marrow recovery?
